Clinical Supervision

Getting started…

Upon beginning supervision you must be employed and work at least 30 hours a week to be able to complete the supervision process in, or close to, 24 months. You need 3,000 total work hours when you apply to sit for the licensing exam.

Here is a Bit About Me…

  • Master of Social Work, The University of Texas at Austin 2009
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Texas Austin 2007

I have over a decade of social work experience and I currently practice as a school social worker at an at risk public school district. In addition to being a school social worker, I have created a blog and YouTube channel dedicated to social work. My channel, Social Work Scrapbook aims at combating the negative stereotype associated with Social Work and allows viewers a glimpse into the field that I love. With compassion and empathy, I work with interns and LMSW’s to help them build on their strengths and attain personal growth.

I provide individual or group supervision. Typically clinical cases or ethical dilemmas encountered at work are reviewed and feedback from myself and other group members is provided. Macro and mezzo issues are also brought into the clinical discussion because they are often relevant to our individual clients.

Once you decide to pursue LCSW supervision, we will complete a social work supervision agreement and the clinical supervision plan. I will also ask you to CC me in an email to your work supervision informing them that you have begun LCSW supervision with me.

As of February 9, 2021, we no longer submit paperwork to the board when you begin supervision.
